FAQ

  • Your Safety Comes First
While we aim to run all scheduled tours, there are occasions when we must cancel a trip—most commonly due to weather conditions exceeding safe operational limits set by our insurance underwriters or our own safety standards. Your safety is always our top priority.

In the event of a cancellation, we will contact you directly as soon as possible and post updates across all our active social media channels to keep you informed. We appreciate your understanding and flexibility—Scotland’s coastal weather can be unpredictable, but your safety and comfort will always come first.

  • If we need to cancel a trip for any reason, we’ll always aim to offer you the best possible alternative. Depending on the circumstances, we will:

    • Delay the trip by a few hours, if conditions are expected to improve the same day.

    • Offer you an alternative date and time that suits your schedule within the same operational season.

    • Provide a full refund if rescheduling isn’t possible or convenient for you.

We understand that your time is valuable, and we’re committed to making the process as smooth and fair as possible.

  • All deposits are non refundable.

Upon full payment if you cancel:

    • Up to 48hrs prior to your trip start time 100% refund will be given.

    • Under 48hrs prior to your trip, then we reserve the right to withhold the full amount.

All cancellations should be made via phone, followed with an email for request of refund or alternative date.

If your trip is cancelled by Clyde Sea Safaris, you will be entitled to a full refund or alternative trip date.

  • All trips conducted by Clyde Sea Safaris are undertake safely and at regulatory speed.  However, due to the manoeuvrability of the boats anyone with pre-existing conditions such as back pain, neck pain, previous injuries or recent surgeries that could be aggravated by any sudden movements should contact us in advance to discuss.

We reserve the right to refuse to carry anyone who is under the influence of drugs or alcohol. We also ask that if you have any pre-existing medical conditions, for example epilepsy, limb in plaster etc you let us know before travelling so we can be aware of them.

Whilst we are an inclusive provider, safety of our passengers comes first. There are limitations for access onto the boats, therefore we ask that anyone with a physical disability contact us prior to booking, to ensure that we are able to safely get you aboard.

  • Due to the nature of the environment in which our trips operate, a minimum level of physical strength and stability is required to participate safely. For this reason, our tours are suitable for individuals aged 7 and over, with a minimum height requirement of 1.4 metres.

To ensure comfort and safety, children who meet the minimum requirements but are smaller in frame will be seated near the helm at the discretion of the crew. This allows for closer supervision and better support during the trip.

We appreciate your understanding—these measures are in place to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone on board.
